Investing in craftsmanship
The first quarter yielded excellent results. We have invested in training and knowledge-sharing sessions. Because growth starts with our own people.
We are committed to craftsmanship and recognized expertise. And we offer the best development opportunities to the best people.
Movement is in our DNA
The social aspect was also highlighted. Q1 proved that once again. The ski event was an unforgettable experience in the snow. The social rides are in full swing as part of the preparations for the Amstel Gold Race this coming Saturday, April 18. And registration for the Dam tot Damloop on September 20 is still open, with just 3 spots remaining.
Movement is in our DNA. Both on the slopes and on the road.
Craftsmanship in practice: UI, UX, and CX
The evening featured two informative sessions. Dick Doeven from MxBlue took us on a journey into the world of UI, UX, and CX. He introduced the team and guided us through the steps of the design process using concrete examples.
The difference between UI and UX
UI is about the visual layer, what you see and click on. UX is about the overall user experience: does a product truly work for the people who use it? CX adds another dimension to this: the experience across the entire customer journey.
AI and UX
It was interesting to see how AI is playing an increasingly prominent role in UX. Not as a replacement for the designer, but as a tool to speed up prototyping, better understand user behavior, and enable personalized experiences at scale.
A trend that calls for designers who are not only visually skilled but also understand how AI-driven systems influence the user experience.
Design systems
Dick explained why design systems play a crucial role in this. A well-designed design system ensures consistency across all touchpoints. It speeds up development and makes it easier to add new functionality, including AI-driven features, in a cohesive manner.
MenScan.io: from detection to prevention
The second session was a presentation by Rudy Dijkstra and Stephan Wolbers on MenScan.io. They shared the story of how it was developed, why, and what the impact has been for both the cyber security team and the Mendix team.
In collaboration with the DIVD, more than 2,000 Dutch domains were checked. The results are both impressive and alarming: more than 100 Mendix apps contain vulnerabilities.
From detection to prevention
The research led to closer collaboration with AppControl. This is now being actively positioned as a structural governance layer within Mendix engagements. A great example of how MxBlue and the Security Unit reinforce each other: from identifying vulnerabilities in the market to preventing them among our own customers.
Long-serving employees and new colleagues
We’ve welcomed some new colleagues. And, of course, we also celebrated our long-serving employees: from one year to as many as twenty years of loyal service.
René van Norden, Ron Meesters, and Anjo Wolven reached the twenty-year mark this quarter. A truly wonderful milestone.
An evening that showcased what SUPERP stands for: passionate people, strong client relationships, technical expertise, and a culture where you want to move forward together, both literally and figuratively.
