Do, don’t just talk
Last week, our Mendix team filled the office space in De Meern for a hands-on workshop on Agentic AI. The program was packed with prompt engineering, agent architectures, MCP servers, and RAG pipelines. No theory for theory’s sake, but tools to start building with right away.
Han Pieter Duyverman kicked off with an introduction to GenAI, Agentic AI, and Responsible AI. After that, everyone got to work on a practical assignment: build your first AI agent.
Experiencing the technology
You can tell that the subject is a hot topic. Developers understand what agentic AI means as soon as they start working with it themselves. A few team members are already applying it intensively: from locally running LLMs to self-built agents in UX processes.
This was session one. Next time, workflows, Mendix knowledge bases, and multi-agent solutions will be on the agenda.
