An unexpected twist in Niels’ life story
Two years ago, Niels’ life was turned upside down. The diagnosis of metastatic kidney cancer came as a bolt from the blue. But instead of giving up, Niels decided to take matters into his own hands. “I couldn’t control the cancer,” he says, “but I could decide how to deal with it.”
And that’s what he did. With a determination that inspires everyone who knows him, Niels turned his life around. Healthy food, regular exercise, sufficient rest, it became his new mantra. But the most important thing? Spending time with his loved ones.
