Willem lives in Holten, is married, and is the father of two sons, one adopted and one foster child. He clearly enjoys family life and loves seeing his children grow up.
Willem’s move into consulting and leadership
Willem began his adventure at SUPERP after a project at Douwe Egberts. One lunch and a good conversation later, the decision was quickly made. Since then, he has been working as a Quality Consultant and team lead within Quality Assurance. “My work is varied and challenging. No two days are the same, which keeps it interesting.”
Early bird and coffee maker
Willem is often the first one at the office in the morning. “I turn on the lights and make sure the coffee machine is warm, unless Jan Paul beats me to it.” His superpower? Making things understandable. If he could choose an extra gift, he would choose that of a universal translator: to be understood correctly anytime, anywhere. No noise, only clarity.
Passion for cooking and Neapolitan pizzas
In his spare time, Willem enjoys cooking and eating with equal enthusiasm. He considers a Napolitana (Spanish Pain au Chocolat) and a Tinto de Verano from time to time to be his guilty pleasures. He used to aspire to be a chef, but nowadays his fictional alter ego is Captain Picard: a leader who resolves issues and leaves things better than he found them.
Why Willem thinks SUPERP is a great organization to work for
What makes working at SUPERP unique for Willem? “The attention they give you as a person. They look at what energizes you and where you want to grow.” His motto, or at least a phrase that suits him, is: “Don’t be surprised, just be amazed.”
