Back to his old stomping grounds: Henk Jägers on his second chance at SUPERP
Henk Jägers is Senior Security Consultant at SUPERP and returned to his old stomping ground in December 2023. This means he has almost two years of renewed experience at SUPERP, but his story began earlier: from February 2017 to the end of 2022, Henk worked within the organization for almost six years.
A new challenge outside SUPERP
When Henk was offered the opportunity to work closer to home in a similar position in 2022, he decided to take the plunge. It seemed like a great opportunity: less travel time, similar work, and a stable environment. Yet he missed something essential when he was away. “What I really missed was the freedom you have as a consultant at SUPERP,” says Henk. “When you’re working on an assignment, you can steer things yourself and interpret them in your own way. I only really noticed that when I was working outside SUPERP.”
Why returning was a logical step
The deciding factor for Henk to return to SUPERP came when he realized that there he would have the freedom to do his work exactly as he saw fit. “As a consultant, you often have more freedom than you might think at first glance. I wanted to seize that opportunity again.“
Working at SUPERP: varied and inspiring
For Henk, working at SUPERP means a combination of great colleagues, fun teams, and challenging assignments with clients. “At SUPERP, I am sent to clients where the work is interesting and where I can also contribute my own ideas. The work is varied, and you are constantly learning new things. That keeps it fun and challenging.”
Collaboration with colleagues varies depending on the client: “When you’re working with a team colleague, you often hit it off right away. With other clients, you build new relationships. Outside of projects, you usually work independently, but the SUPERP team is always available for questions and support.”
Proud of his development
Since his return, Henk has quickly mastered a new SAP module related to authorizations. “It’s great to see that I can quickly make an impact again and apply new knowledge with customers.”
Henk’s tip for new colleagues
“Just do it! It’s fun to work with different clients; every place is different, so you learn faster and have varied work. Dare to seize the opportunities that SUPERP offers you, because there is plenty of room to determine your own path.”
